The Concept

Ki Communities is a luxury surf retreat set within the world-renowned Mentawai Islands — a destination where uncompromising comfort meets the planet’s most sought-after waves.

BLUECHIP leads the project through a full end-to-end scope: masterplanning, architectural concept, procurement strategy and remote-site project management. Designed to attract discerning travellers and surf-lifestyle leaders, Ki Communities offers exclusive oceanfront living with sustainability embedded at every scale. Ki Communities is built for a new generation of ocean-first luxury travellers — global nomads and high-profile surf culture from LA to Mentawai — who prioritise experience, freedom, and wellbeing over traditional resort formality.

Ki signifies vital life force — the energy flowing through waves, climate, people and culture. This energy forms the core narrative:

  • Ki as nature — uninterrupted ocean frontage and private reef access

  • Ki as wellbeing — restorative living elevated by immaculate design

  • Ki as community — exclusivity through shared authenticity

The resort is envisioned as a luxury lifestyle village, where the ocean’s power shapes each day and privacy is paired with meaningful social connection.

“A destination for those who pursue perfect waves — and perfect days.”
