This project attempts to redefine the way we live, or perhaps to offer an alternative to modern city living.

The courtyard arrangement creates transition zones between inside and outside and allows direct contact with the natural environment planted with various flora.

The building is simple but of a size that accommodates 7 en-suite bedrooms and ample common spaces.

The owner is planting various vegetables and fruits to enable self sufficiency in food supply with a focus on organic production.

Livestock are kept in adjacent land with spaces developed for other artistic and creative endeavours.

Water is supplied by a local well, with a full ROUV filtration system to enable self sufficiency in water supply. Photovoltaics and Solar Collectors are planned in Phase two to offset burden on municipal systems of electricity and hot water.
